Using the DCAM Document Register

2/21/2012

The Document Register in DCAM enables users to view current orders, request follow-ups on an item and request cancellations for items no longer needed.

Access and view the Document Register

  1. From the DCAM main window, click Orders in the menu bar.
  2. From the drop-down menu, click View Document Register. The Document Filter window will appear. Accept the default settings or click View to narrow the search scope or search using a specific date range.

Follow-up on an item in the Document Register

  1. Click the line to highlight the item in the Document Register requiring a follow-up.
  2. Click the Follow-up icon in the vertical action bar on the right side of the screen. A message box will appear confirming that a follow-up request has been generated into the Working Orders list.
  3. Click OK to return to the Document Register window.

Request a cancellation for an item in the Document Register
This process only submits a request for cancellation; the item cannot be cancelled in the Due-in file until the supplier has approved the request.

  1. Click the line to highlight the item in the Document Register that needs to be requested to be cancelled.
  2. Click the Req_Cxl icon in the vertical action bar on the right side of the screen. A message box will appear confirming that a cancellation request has been generated into the Working Orders list.
  3. Click OK to return to the Document Register window.

To submit a follow-up or cancellation to the supplier, use the same processes to send orders.

NOTE: Users will get the current status of the item the next day when the status is downloaded. If the item was cancelled this will appear in the updated status.
