Place an Order in DCAM Without a Known Item ID

  1. Click the Orders menu option and select Order from the drop-down menu.
  2. At the Working Orders screen, click the Insert icon.
  3. To find the Item ID, click the Search Supplier icon.
  4. Click the Find icon at the Supplier’s Catalog.
  5. Enter the item name in the Find What field, such as Tylenol. Click Find Next until the item displays. Click the Select icon.
  6. At the Add/Update Order screen, enter the Item ID. Enter or update the remaining data fields as needed. When finished, click OK.
    1. If the item does not exist in the local catalog, the DCAM Informational Message window displays. Click OK. Update the data fields on Add/Update Local Catalog screen. Click OK when finished to open the Working Orders screen.
    2. If the item exists in the local catalog, the Working Orders screen displays.
  7. Click the Close icon to close the open windows.
